Digital BW, The Print

After 2 years using an R1800 with 3 MK Eboni inks the printer has died and resisted all attepts to revive it.
What now ?
A replacement 1800 will be pretty old now. Perhaps an R1900 will be able to take over, and be the smoothest changeover. Is anyone currently using an 1900 with 3 MK ink ? Is it interchangeable as far as QTR is concerned ? Will it take my current (recharchable) cartridges ?
I know Paul thinks it will work, but he hasn't actually used one.
The alternative is , of course, the 1400/ or the latest model 1500W (is this the 1430 in US) The trouble is the import cost of the inks, unles I can formulate the medium to dilute my own. 
Sadly, not many use the MIS /Paul Rouke systems here in the UK.
