All this talk about the difficulty of refilling cartridges and resetting chips just convinces me more of the advantages in utilizing some CIS system, which I have done for years with no cartridge refilling and chip resetting problems. I (along with Paul) ignore Epson's graphical depiction of ink levels. The "above-ground" CIS ink reservoirs clearly reveal when I must add more ink to them. I've recently been toying with the idea of switching to refillable cartridges (why, in heavens, I don't know) but I think now I'll give up the idea.
