I'm thrilled that the vaccum filling of the virgin empty's and installation went flawlessly on my 1160. I have severe microbanding in my first test prints but I read from the archives that I need to do my printhead alignment on the same weight stock and set the paper thickness. The nozzle checks are perfect so this must be my only recourse. The other thing I tried was to get one shade warmer than the neutral I placed two curve adjustment layers over my image both at 50% opaque, One was the VMQW and the other was the VMNW and the tone was wonderful! I found the VMQC curve to be awful taking away all highlight and mid light tones. Now to start trialing some papers and of course fix the microbanding. QUESTION... Can the cartridge be vaccuum filled again once it's been used or from here out can I only use the bottom fill method? QUESTION... Has any experamented with papers that print nice but also deckle tear nicely too? Elizabeth www.elizabeths.ca
