Knowing someone who had their identity stollen, and the cost, and number of years it took to correct their credit record, I would rather buy stamps and pay by mail.

Most wire service agreements require one to accept the institutions policy for doing business.  I have yet to read a policy that doesn't say you can not hold them responsible for errors in your account and take them to court.  They all have stated in their users agreements that all disputes will be handled by THEIR arbitration board, and that finding is final.  Have fun with that if you ID is stollen.

With the government digging through Internet transactions, and sharing that info with other agencies, as well as other countries, I would rather not have anything traceable by wire.

Anything you put on the Internet, or on the wire can be received by someone else.  They can use whatever they find the way they want.  If that is OK by you, have fun.  It is not fine by me.
