Re: [Digital BW] Refilling and syringes/needles, etc.

I rinse the refilling accessories and let them air dry. I use a bulb blower to blow the water out of syringe needles and bottom fill adapters.

Eventually the syringes might get stiff and hard to use. Some use silicone lubricant spray on the edges of the rubber part of the syringe plunger (terminology?). I now use some generic base in a squeeze bottle to lubricate that part. Given the number of syringes with the set and the quantity of ink, you may never run into this problem.

Good luck with the setup.

First, a thank you to Paul Roark for his detailed descriptions and instructions regarding Eboni 6.

I started with pre-filled ink cartridges from inksupply.com and liked the prints. When my ink ran out, I ordered the refillable ink kit.

I plan on following the instructions here:

http://www.inksupply.com/product-details.cfm?pn=REF-T079-6-EB6-KIT&printerID=67542

but I had a basic question. Once I use the syringes, needles and fill adaptors once, what do I do with them?

1. Leave them to air dry and re-use them next time I need to refill?

2. Wash them out with water, then leave them to air-dry and re-use?

3. Use them in single use fashion and start with a new set of syringes/needles/adaptors?

Thanks,

Vijay
