The printer is for real and there is supposed to be a B&W solution. I was
told it is a combination of the black ink, the gray ink, the other color
inks and a better software driver. I believe the intent is to beat or
improve the color crossover problems of printing B&W with colot inksets. We
will see. If it works it will be odd to not be operation out here on the
fringes of alternate technology.

First they will have to reverse engineer the inevitable chip!! Epson is not
backing down on this and it seems likely the new models will have different
and harder to clone chips.
