Digital BW, The Print

I am about to print the Piezomultistep target on a paper that I have 
never used. This paper is not supported in the Piezo software.I am 
guessing that I can print this test target and
tweak the gamma and dot density to get the test target to print 
correctly.
Is this how you use the target and if so can you save the settings 
for thatpaper, how much of a change would you recommend in the dot 
and gamma controls to obtain a change in the print.
