Cleavis,

Go into Photoshop /edit/color settings/
change the Gray setting under "Working Spaces" to Gray Gamma 2.2
Save and you are back to normal.

  Question A - Is there a preference or dominance being used by MIS VM 
  users regarding Gamma?

  Question B - What are the implications of converting?
