I leave my office printer ON all the time, in sleep mode. I found it did less cleaning that way.

It doesn't matter that nozzle checks were perfect before sending a print job; the printer likes to do a long, unnecessary, unrequested head cleaning.
I contacted Epson and they were of no help. I also tried downgrading the printer’s firmware (a suggested fix I read online), but again that didn't help.
