The new Epson MK for the P600 (and P800, I assume) is said to have a higher dmax than the old K3 MK. I just did a draw-down on Epson Hot Press Natural and have placed the scanned results here:

Epson is now explicit in their MSDS that the P600 MK is a carbon black.
The initial draw down appears to show an ink that is very close to MIS Eboni v. 1.1 (from STS Inks). The Eboni seems to have higher density, but the colors are much the same. I'll probably how the new Epson MK dilutes with the generic base next.
