I've been dealing with the 3880 vs P800 issue directly with Epson. They are adamant that the D-max improvement is significant. Since they were not adamant enough to send me a prerelease P800 for testing, I can't yet confirm that, but I believe them that it is not just measurable, but visible. Time will tell. C.
