Re: [Digital BW] Print Head Cleaner ?

2017-08-13 by Paul Roark

Hi Alex,

I made the "generic" dilution base described at http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Ink%20Mixing%20Generally.pdf to be as compatible with lots of different inks as possible. I use it to make the Eboni-based "Eboni-6", which I generally use in the "variable tone" version (http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/3880-Eboni-Variable-Tone.pdf [works in all Epson printer as far as I know]. The generic base makes a good flushing base as well as mild cleaning solution. There are stronger cleaning solutions, but too strong can damage the heads. It might be best to see if a mild one like the clear dilution base c6b works before using a stronger solution. (The surfactant that is most effective in the c6b base is Edwal LFN. It's a great cleaner.)

Good luck.

Paul

Hello All,

I want to try to get an old Epson 2000P back on line.

I want to flush the heads before installing any new ink.

I have extra empty carts and can use one for flush-out .

Does Anyone Know : what solution is compatible with

MIS Ebony series inks ? Alcohol, Ammonia, Other ??

Thanks,

Alex
