Don- I use Lyson and a number of other inks, mostly MIS FS on a piezo driver. The most trouble free consistently good predictable result is the FS ink and the piezo driver (also prints 2-3x faster). But the lyson (small gamut mostly) is the best dye ink I have found and that is what you really need if you want to make BW glossy or semi glossy prints. I do find that a lot of mid tones block up on some papers...that would lead me to believe that profiling is very important with these inks...there are some primitive profiles available of the Lyson website for free. I definitely agree that they never clog (though I have never had an MID clog either).
