Re: [Digital BW] ...Print Exchange

2002-03-15 by Michael Kravit

Austin, Lawrence,

I fully understand the reasoning for critiquing photographs, but on the other hand there are many people that just want to exchange images to collect others work and see what others are doing. I must honestly tell you that I love to participate in print exchanges however with over 30 years experience as a photographer and a designer I know what I like and don't like.

I exchange images to share my work, see others work and have fun. If I wanted a portfolio review I would schedule time with Arnold Newman. This is not meant to be flippant or demeaning to others, but a critique is not something that I am looking for in a print exchange.

Good point. I'm guilty of not yet doing any critiquing this time. I can't
expect others to do something that I have not done myself. I guess it's
time to contribute and see what happens.
