Absolutely!  It's a judgement call, obviously, but I also think it's pretty
clear when an obvious violation occurs. In fact, I don't think you need to
ask for permission.   Or if you want to, why not do it with a poll, instead
of cluttering the list.  Actually, a poll might be fun!  Hang him! Yes! No!
