RE: [Digital BW] Ideas for shipping framed prints?

2002-03-28 by Ton Guiking

Hi,
According to me, there are only two possibilities:
- Wrapping all the frames very carefully, individually, and also the
whole package with bubble-plastic (don't know the exact word in
English).
- Sending the frames and prints separately, and having it framed at the
spot. In this way you avoid the prints being damaged by broken frames.
Good luck with the exhibition!

Onderwerp: [Digital BW] Ideas for shipping framed prints?

I have a upcoming exhibit of my inkjet photographs (done with MIS VM and
Paul's curves) and am I'm working now to get a dozen matted and framed.
However, I've never done a show out of town before and have no
experience
with shipping framed prints around the country. What tricks - ideas, do
people on the list have for packaging framed prints to be shipped? I'm
very
happy that I've been ask to exhibit, but am a bit worried about things
arriving in one piece. Any opinions - help - feedback would be most
appreciated. Thanks guys and gals.
