In a CIS system, you should never "replace" a cartridge, just reset the
CIS by lifting the little sponge blocks and resetting them back down, if
you have an older printer, and if you have the 1280, you should never
have to do a thing, it is all automatic. The chip always reads that the
cartridge is full.

OOps, I see you have the MIS CIS system, not the nomorecarts/Niagara
system. The above only applys to the Nomorecarts/Niagara system.
