George, I am currently using the Colorbyte ImagePrint 4 RIP on my Epson 7000 with the MIS FS Neutral Tone inks. Have you seen one of my prints? If not, I can tell you that the RIP produces lovely fully detailed continuous tone prints. Lovely shadow detail, midtones and highlights. The rIP is flexible, you can use Cone Inks, MIS Inks, Lyson inks and it also does color. You can arrange multiple images on the same sheet of paper in differeing sizes. After printing, the spooler feature lets you repeat previous print jobs. You can adjust inks indiviually and do many other things. Colorbyte is currently profiling the following papers with MIS FS inks for me. Once complete the profiles with be placed on their website for down loading. H. Photo Rag 308 H. William Turner Museo Legion Photo Matte Bright Cube Eclipse Satine H. Torchon Epson Textured Fine Art IP4 is an open system, in that you can have ICC profiles made by anyone. The concept is to have an open system that allows the end user to utilize any ink set and any paper he/she desires. They are also currently working with the MIS VM ink set as well. I would image it will be supported within a few months. This is a small company and they are developing a desktop version, and a Mac version as well. If you have additional question, please let me know.
