Once you coat them...blacks won't be an issue. The difference between 1.57 (Museo) and 1.67 (Hahnemuhle) doesn't even exist once they are coated...they are all in the 2 to 2.2 range...and the differences there aren't nearly as noticeable...at least to me. Incidentely...I ran some Museo and Eclipse Satine Softwhite with John Woolf's epson driver workflow with PiezoBW inks last night. As many of you know, Museo has about a 1.57 dmax with Cone's driver. Eclipse in contrast, runs about 1.4 with the Orwell profile...big difference...you would never use Eclipse. Ditto for the Museo profile with the Eclipse...1.41. In contrast if I use Woolf's workflow I get 1.57 for both papers. The Eclipse looks great...really weird. Using this workflow...or one like it I would say the Eclipse is also worth a try with coating. It gives a more satin effect...that I really like when I print the smooth side.
