In general this is not an issue, or difficult to do. But, keep the following in mind The Epson cartridges were designed to be taken out and stored for future use - they have poppet valves at the exit holes whick minimizes introduction of air when removed from the printer. The MIS VM cartridges do not have that feature. So, it is better to exhaust the VM cartridges before removing them. I have found printing just 1 purge page is sufficient to remove the old ink. It is better to have two dedicated printers.
