If you really want glossy BW prints, I suggest you check out the Lyson dye inks. You will have to make up your own mind on the longevity (they should outlast any color print, but won't come close to the life of "carbon pigment" <g>. You can see the estimates for various ink/paper combos on the Lyson site. They make fantastic looking prints...won't bet my soul on how long they last.
