Jack,

I am sure that this will work just fine.

I tried the article that talks about using SMB in OS 10.1 (I have 
10.1.3) and  when I try to mount it as indicated I get an error message 
that says no other machines are available or something like that.

I am determined and I WILL get this working. I have a full blown HP 
W2000 domain server in my office with a 5 drive Raid system and 10 
workstation all connected to the interned through a firewall and router 
that I built. I know I can get this simple 2 machine network to talk.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
