Normally, does each tag in an ICC profile serve as it would in any other

If so, what are those fields normally like in an ICC profile? -- do they 
delimit bounaries in the gamut?

What I'm getting at is why the hell there might be 710 tags, versus an 
average of a dozen?

BTW: If you see a CMYK monitor do us all a favor and wake up out of your 
dream.. LOL
