Julian, I bought a couple of prints from LensWork magazine that were contact printed from digital negs that I find undetectable from regular enlargements. They were made using Dan Burkholder's methods and were output on a 3600dpi image setter. There are even higher resolution image setters out there too. There is more info on Dan's site, http://www.danburkholder.com/, under "Book Info" and Faqs. He also discusses chromogenic inkjet negs as well. Bjorn, you are using a totally different system that is more akin to platinum than to silver prints. I'm trying to find ways to produce a high quality dig neg, and I've not found one sharpenough yet. So, I'm silver printing those neghs that need it and dig printing those that look better on inkjet.
