Robert,

That's excellent.  I hope they extend the support to the 3000, 7000 and
others.

I still think that a free, open entry-level approach is needed.  However,
for those who do a lot of printing or for whom the price is no problem, I
have no doubt that a professional RIP with lots of paper profiles will be
the way to go.

  Imageprint is about (I think next week) to release their product for the
  1270/1280/1290 that supports the current FS ink sets.  It will include
  profiles for most of the papers that you all are currently using including
  Epson/Hahnemuhle/Legion and Brightcube. Support for the VM ink set is to
  follow.
