Digital BW, The Print

Does anyone know the active ingredient in Windex?  I realize that it is
cheap and easy to get hold of in the US but I am in the UK and must buy an
equivalent...

My 3000 is playing up and I think it is trapped air.  The manual describes a
procedure for removing carts to enable printer transfer.  The method seems
to result in the lines being purged.  Is this right and might that be a
solution for trapped air?
