Simon:

Windex has several different formulations.

One common formulation contains 2-Butoxyethanol (CAS# 111-76-2 aka 
butyl cellosolve, an oil/grease solvent), Ethylene glycol hexyl ether 
(CAS# 112-25-4), and Isopropyl alcohol (CAS# 67-63-0)

another contains 2-Butoxyethanol (CAS# 111-76-2) and ammonium 
hydroxide (CAS# 1336-21-6).  ("Windex with Ammonia-D")

Windex won't remove air from your print heads.
