Hi. I\ufffdm just trying to finish the set up of my first BW printer, using an Epson 980 and a MIS CFS with VM Inks. Just when I had finished sawing the printer housing, filling the cartrides, aging them and so on,I realized the MIS had sent me cartridges for the 1160...! I called them and they are sending me the right ones,so when they arrive I'll start trying with it. As I'm going deeper and deeper into photography related to social sciences, and BW is the way to go,I'll probably end needing a larger format one for gallery exhibits,so I\ufffdm beggining to research on this. The problem with thicker paper can be a problem, considering the exhibit prints. So let's see what time brings. The problem is the usual. No place to take a look at results. Thick papers are also said to be a problem on the 3000, but I don't use them. I'm making some new curves for the 3000 and the VM-Sepia-Neutral inkset now and have it nearly perfect except for some fine grain at about 65%. The real question is whether you need the print size that only the 3000 can reach. If not, the 1160 is probably the way to go. Paul
