Patrick, A while ago somebody posted a suggestion about using a couple of sheets of that printable refrigerator magnet stuff to make a negative holder. Cut two frames out of the magnet material and hinge them together w/tape, and sandwich the neg in the middle. The magnets hold the neg flat, so it doesn't sag, and the thickness of the magnet is enough to lift it off the glass so you don't get newton rings.
