I understand that.. BUT, it turns out that the defaults for the VueScan
settings on the 2450 were NOT originally 0..  In fact, they were
different for transparency and flatbed scans..  And some testing has
shown that varying settings in VueScan have produced different results..
one test showed that the actual "0" focal point was at 3/32 of an inch
above the flatbed glass..
