The problem with your request is that as soon as you add a prism for an SLR it turns any medium format into a 'beast' (as you said). The amount of glass needed to 'cover' the mirror is always large and relatively heavy. We have found the Pentax 6x7 as the most comfortable medium format SLR for street shooting.
