RE: [Digital BW] imageprint rip/7000 and different inksets . . . .

Tony,

You might want to contact ColorByte directly as to where they are in
supporting the MIS VM inkset. Note that Epson driver controls (Photoshop
curves) for MIS VM on the 7000 also are available. Having multiple
workflows never hurts.

I think ColorByte is working on a RIP for the MIS VM inkset, and MIS, at my
suggestion, may have suggested that the VM-S inkset is even more flexible --
going from neutral to sepia. The gray inks in the vm-s inkset are the same
as the FS-N inks. As such, they are "non-warming" (depends on the paper).
Thus, you'd have the non-warming neutral (actually to 0.02 units cool in the
midtones) capability as FS-N, but with a variability all the way to sepia in
the warm direction.

Subject: [Digital BW] imageprint rip/7000 and different inksets . . . .

  Hello all,
I am a bit confused on ink issues here, and perhaps somebody can give
a bit of advice. I just took the plunge and purchased the imageprint
rip for my 9500 running indellible inks, and just purchased a 7000 to
run hextones with the same rip. I'm trying to decide what kind of ink
I want to put in the 7000, and am curious to know if anyone has run
the MIS VM inkset through the imageprint rip.
  TIA
  Tony
