Re: [Digital BW] imageprint rip/7000 and different inksets . . . .

Hi Paul,
I talked to colorbyte. Irene (I think that is her name) said that
imageprint does support VM-S. I really want cool inks, and all I have
running right now is an 1160 with FS. It pirnts neutral on art papers
for the most part, but warm on glossy, and some of my clients prefer
neutral or cool on glossy. I was considering FS-N in my 7000, but
wasn't sure if it can use the same profiles as the FS with
imageprint.
What also kind of bugs is the fact that imageprint seems to use (like
cone) only quad, not hextones, so the extra two inks would be doubled
up, which means that I can't use my 7000 with the epson driver if I
want. And if I use VM inks in the 7000, then, I am not sure if I can
use it with the imageprint rip. It appears to be an either-or
situation, and I want to get the most out of the 7000. Of course, I
could be misunderstanding the whole situation, so if I have stated
anything wrong above, somebody set me straight please.
best,
Tony
