Digital BW, The Print

I own a Flextight II but have the opportunity to buy a used 
ScanMate 5000 for $3000 including Colot Quartet software.
What would you prefer :
A flextight precision II CCD scanner or a used ScanMate 5000 
Drum scanner. Anyone at the list who has some experiences 
with drum- vs. CCD scannings for scanning B&W negs for quad 
printing  (piezo pro24/Epson7000)?
