My personal experience has been the reverse --

i go thourgh the color cartridge faster than the black cartridge

If you are worried about it, you can see from a purge file or even a
simple nozzle check that all the colors are spraying correctly.

I use black up about 2x the rate of the other colors, but I'm sure
different images or styles use ink differently.
