Re: [Digital BW] 50% off inks and naked PiezographyBW software

Ron,

Well this is no doubt in response to Digital Art Supplies offering the R9
(same as Piezo apparently) plug-in at the same price. I am very glad to see
InkjetMall take this step. I think that if they had done this last fall a
lot more people would have gotten on the Piezo band wagon but admittedly
with the MIS-FS inks. It should be pointed out that InkjetMall/ConeTech has
a pretty good reputation for tech support and DAS is an unknown quantity in
this regard.

I do have to grin over the example photos on the page you listed below. This
shows perfectly the initial green cast of the original Piezo and the kind of
warming you could expect on some of the papers.

So now the entry fee into the world of Piezo is $149 + $40 to $80 for a set
of cartridges depending upon the printer and brand. It is interesting to
note that while MIS has a significant price advantage in the bulk inks, they
have little or no edge in pre-filled cartridges compared to the Piezo,
PiezoTone and Sundance inks.

If you have been thinking about trying Piezo, now is the time to give it a
shot. With these big price reductions and three (soon to be six) flavors of
ink available things look pretty good.

All I can say is that competition sure is good for the customer!
