Digital BW, The Print

Jerry, are the bands perpendicular to the head travel? I have successfully
eliminated such bands with *repeated* cleaning & oiling of the transverse
bar.

I recently had a head replaced on an 1160 and asked the repair tech person
about banding. His simple reply was that most banding was related to paper
or head transport.

So my next suggestion would be to carefully examine your rollers & clean
them with isopropyl alcohol.
