Jerry, Paul I'm sorry, slipped a cog there, it was the head alignment I meant to talk about. The nozzle check is the same as I have seen on all my Epson's so far. The head alighnment on the 1280 is different. It prints three pages and takes rather a long time. The first page is the three rows of 15(?) black vertical lines. The second and third pages print out nine 1/2" squares. In color these showed CMY dither pattern and you were supposed to pick the smoothest one on each page to get the middle #5 position printing correctly. This looked like it would work very well for color but may not be workable for quads! Any thoughts on this one? Mine asks if I want to use the non-Epson cartridges when I first print each day.
