I am printing some of my older images that I shot on XP1 using Piezography inks and my Epson 3000. I am enlarging them to 16x20 and grain isn't an issue. The prints are looking great. They were all shot either 6x7 or 35mm. However, since I liked the ease of scanning and printing the XP1 film I just shot a huge project with a Contax 6.45 using XP2 film which I haven't used before. I processed the film at a custom lab and I am trying to scan the film and make the same size prints. The XP2 negatives aren't the same color or as deep a color as the XP1 negatives and they are very grainy and coarse and I mean very grainy and very course. When I look at the film under a loupe the grain is very obvious not at all the smooth look I am used to with XP1. In fact I think the grain is more pronounced with the XP2 film then with my Tri-X. Does anyone have a lot of experience with XP2 who could tell me what is going on? Thank you. Regards, T J
