Digital BW, The Print

I couldn't believe it myself until it was pointed out to me from 
someone at Blair editions.

Take two pieces of Ecilpse Satine bright white out of the box keeping 
them right side up. Then flip one over and put them next to each 
other. The back side is a little smoother. I was told that the back 
side "may" have more coating, but at any rate that they print  
"slightly" differently.

Any one else notice this- and knows how differently they print, 
microbanding problems, etc that one might encounter printing on back 
vs front? Which side prints better? I'm currently using VM inkset on 
1280. 

Or am I just seeing things?
