Ralph Roesler at Brightcube e-mailed me back to say that indeed the 
two sides are different wrt texture- one side has more than the other. 
He said they left the paper like this on purpose to please those who 
like more/less texture in the paper. I specifically asked about the 
190gsm version.

Jerry you're right because he confirms there is no coating difference 
or anything else that would affect tonality- except amount of texture.

I think I've been unconciuosly feeding in the rougher side for the 
most part, although this is the first time I realized the difference. 
I tend to like the deeper texture. I can understand those who prefer 
the flatter side tho<g>.
