Mitch, Surely the reason for the 1280/90 and 2100/2200 dual numbering is not just the different power supplies in the US, but the different paper sizes, so the absorbent pads for the waste ink overspray (in borderless printing) have to be in different places, and the driver has to work to these different sizes. The 1270 was the same everywhere, wasn't it, but when borderless printing came in with the 1280/90 the dual numbering started. Or have I got this wrong? If Epson wanted to make sure that users would not buy a product in one markeet than would require a power transformer, they could have caleld the products the 1280/220v and 1280/110v instead. I don't like Epson's approach to this matter: I bought an 1160 in Paris where I spent six months last year and took it to Bangkok only to find thatn the Epson warrantee is only valid in the country where the product is purchased.
