Kari, I'm Sorry, I didn't finish that thought. Even the gray inks (Small Gamut) MIS, Piezo, etc. do experience metamerism to a degree. Some show much less than others. With a proper profile, even the Generations or MIS archival color inks can make a very acceptable black and white print. But you must have the color inks/paper profiled. Even then, some images tend to show more metamerism than others. There isn't much metamerism with Generations or MIS inks. If you get a great looking neutral print in daylight, it tends to be just a tad warm in tungsten lighting, but certainly not objectionable. And of course the paper you use contributes a lot to how much metamerism you see. Jerry
