Thanks for testing. I figured a matte paper would be safest but 
was too chicken to blow a drum finding out.

I don't know exactly what the coatings are i.e. whether they
can melt (that would be bad).  But I do dry mount at lot of my
prints and I've never seen any change in the surface.
Maybe some of the uncoated papers would be safer.

Aw, heck, curiousity got me.  I just printed on Epson Archival
Matte thru my HP 6MP and it seems fine.  Print quality is
nothing like the inkjets though.

This reminds me of printing cards several years ago.   I wanted
a couple of 100 cards for invitations.  I stacked a whole 
bunch and it feed fine but burned out the drum since the cards
were smaller than 8.5x11  -- the paper takes away quite a
bit of heat.   So if you print lots of small cards do 'em in
smaller batches.
