RE: [Digital BW] Stair Interpolation

2002-08-09 by A. Huntley

Hi Andy,

I agree with Jerry. I've run numerous comparisons on various images pitting GF against Fred Miranda's SI PhotoShop action and, each time,
have found SI just a tad sharper. Probably not enough the you would notice it at print size, but, hey, I figure sharper can't hurt! If you are using
SI against, say, D30 image files you owe it to yourself to try Fred's camera-specific SI Pro actions. They produce even better results than the
original SI.

As Jerry said, I too wish I had found Fred's website before investing in GF.

Best regards,
Alan

Does anyone have experience with Stair Interpolation, an alternative
to Genuine Fractals? I'd appreciate any pointers especially where
in the workflow you would apply the Action. I suppose that it would
be just before the print routine. I use MIS VM and an 1160.
