Martin, Right on!!! To my eye, nothing I've seen, yet, beats a well executed silver print on selenium toned Oriental. One of my favs for many years. And, the "color" I generally was trying to reach was as you describe. Thanks for the memorys...think I'll go wash the Dektol from under my fingernails, now. Jerry, I have always toned vigorously to get a deep eggplant color in the shadows and touch of magenta in the midtones preferably with cool highlight (Oriental VC was the greatest).
