Digital BW, The Print

Wow!  What a lively, informative forum this is.  The problem is, 
there is SO much information here, that is really overwhelming to 
someone who's just coming in and trying to get to the simple 
mechanics of WHICH printer/WHICH ink for the most archival and best 
printing qualities.  I thought I understand basic digital printing, 
obviously not--You guys are GOOD! :)

So, I'm going to try to get my answer in the simplest way I know:  
Tell you my conclusions, and y'all tell me if I'm close.

#1) I can't use my 1270 since it doesn't support the inks I need.  
#2) Since a 11x14 is large enough for me, a 1280, used solely for 
black and white printing; with Piezo inks and software is my best bet.

Am I close?  :)
