See what the fear of bankruptcy can do to a company. :) Nikon needs to be humbled a little. I won't go into my story of unhappiness with fruitless Nikon service calls, suffice it to say that after 20 Nikon years, I am the happy owner of Olympus and Canon equipment. No more Nikon unless it is just the cat's meow, which it isn't. I have a SS4000 that has served me very well for several years and the other day in the middle of a scanning session it failed to recognize the film holder and when I restarted it ,would not come out of initialization. I called Polaroid tech support, they answered promptly and when I explained what was happening, the tech knew of the symptoms and took my address and said they had designed a special little brush that would fix the problem. Three days later, the brush is delivered to me, free of charge, ( the tech didn't even ask when I bought my scanner or anything) I followed the very clear instructions and in less time than it's taking me to type in the story, my scanner was up and running. Not bad for a company that's in receivership. J.Z. Yahoo!
