I apparently missed the Nikon tirade you've mentioned. (No surprise--it was
probably under some ancient and no longer relevant subject line ;-)

In any case, I had to make several calls to Nikon support regarding my
LS4000 scanner. Without exception, I found them to be prompt, knowledgeable
and courteous, even when it was a case of a certain user failing to read the
manual before calling. In fact, I'd rate them as one of the best for human
phone support that you don't have to pay for. Can't speak for their support
in any other area, but I would not hesitate to recommend a Nikon film
scanner for this or any other reason.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
