Digital BW, The Print

I am setting up my Epson 1280 and for reasons too long to go into, it
has to be about 15 feet from my Mac G3. My Epson instructions caution
against having a USB cable longer than 6 1/2 feet, as it might cause
printing problems. Any thoughts or experience with this?
